Beautiful and horrifying, Manufactured Landscapes is a feature documentary on the work of internationally renowned artist Edward Burtynsky. The film follows him as he travels through China photographing the evidence and effects of that country's massive industrial revolution and continues his examination of the human impact on the planet without trying to reach simplistic judgements or reductive resolutions. 2006, Dir. DADo Film Society are proud to support the Australian premiere screening of "Barbicania" as part of the massive Open House Melbourne weekend coming up at the end of July. The film will be followed by a panel discussion exploring the film, Melbourne's brutalism, urban density and everything inbetween.
